MICRO Woodturning Lathe DB 250

This micro wood lathe has a 250mm centre-distance and a 40mm centre-height. It's perfect for model columns, lighting masts, tanks, and hundreds of classical miniature turning tasks.

It features a ball-bearing spindle, bored through at 10+mm for production of small parts, a quill travelling ball bearing tailstock, and a universal all-direction-adjustable tool-rest.

The lathe bed is made from a thick-walled aluminium profile, a set of 6 collets, dog and faceplate are included. The motor speed is electronically variable from 1,000rpm to 5,000rpm.

Woodturning in small dimensions means much fun: For doll's house items such as plates, cups, dishes, pots, vases and columns. Model railway items include power and signal posts and tanks. Doll and marionette limbs as well as thousands of classical model building items.

 

 
Toolrest securable at any height and to all sides eases centreless or faceplate work. The workpiece is fixed to the faceplate by woodscrews.


 



 
 
Electronic speed control assists in the painting process.


 




 
 
Workpieces are secured by means of collets (1 each of 2 - 3 - 4 - 6 - 8 and 10 mm) are included as standard.

The ball bearing spindles are tapered to accept collets and are bored through at 10 mm.

  Extra accessories that are available for the DB 250:

 

 
Three Piece Turning Chisel Set.
One each flat, parting and gouge.

 
Independent Four Jaw Chuck.
Used to clamp asymmetrical pieces such as rectangles. The reversible jaws clamp from 1.5 - 35 mm (inside) and 14 - 67 mm (outside). The headstock spindle of thread M16 x 1 screws directly into the chuck.

 
 

Three Jaw Chuck for the lathe DB 250, used for concentric clamping.

Made from zinc diecast and offering 1.5 to 32 mm and 12 to 65 mm when reversing the jaws. The chuck has a M16 x 1 thread for fitting directly to the DB 250 spindle.
