These grinding bits are composed from fine carborundum (silicon carbide) particulates of consistent hardness, and are ideal for engraving and frosting of glass, ceramics and stellites.

Silicon carbide is suitable for grinding tungsten carbide, chilled cast iron, and other hard steels and alloys.
