Wilesco D9 Steam Engine in Kit Form

The D9 kit from Wilesco's D10 is our most popular model steam engine. The D9 steam engine kit from Wilesco is identical to the popular D10 model, making it perfect for hobbyists and steam engine enthusiasts interested in this model. The D9 engine is equipped with a double-acting cylinder, which has significantly more power than models with an oscillating cylinder. Please note that this steam engine is in kit form and has to be built first.

Additionally, the model is equipped with complete steam control and a centrifugal governor. The D9 boiler has a volume of 155 cm³ and a size of 115 mm x 45 mm. The remaining water in the boiler does not affect the durability of the machine and can be easily emptied by removing the filling valve "upside down".
The D9 model is also equipped with an authentic, steam-emitting chimney, providing additional real-steam fun. The condensate is directed from the cylinder to the back of the boiler house in a condensate water trough, resulting in a smoking chimney.
 

Mirror polished and nickel plated boiler, diameter 45 mm, length 115 mm, boiler capacity 155 cm.., with water gauge glass. Boiler house true to life, coloured and copper plated, with embossed brick type walls, 2 footbridges. Double-action reversible brass cylinder with flywheel, spring loaded safety valve, dome whistle, flywheel of 70 mm diameter with a grooved pulley, centrifugal governor, steam jet oiler. All condensed water is collected in a gathering tray below the smoke stack and the chimney smokes just like the original.
