With a sturdy base of grey cast iron, this mill is appropriate for work with even the smallest of cutters. Both the vertical column and the compound table are made from treated aluminium.
All axes are free of play and have adjustable gibs. The headstock is made from die-cast aluminium, and contains The special 24-pole motor is designed for steady, chatter-free operation even at its highest speed of 20,000rpm, suitable for fine cutters.
As part of the Micromot system, this machine accepts the triple-slit, hardened steel Micromot collets (covering 0.8mm to 3.2mm). The table is fitted with three T-slots (12mm x 6mm x 5mm) compatible with the Micromot T-nuts. An adjustable scale simplifies workpiece positioning.
All handwheels are zero adjustable, with 1 revolution = 1.0mm, 1 divison = 0.05mm.
